Description

learning proper dance technique such as isolations of the body, improving performance quality and developing complex rhythms and patterns. Students will be exposed to various style of jazz such as Broadway, Classical, and Jazz Funk to help them develop a well rounded dancer. Class curriculum is based on the foundation of ballet technique layered with traditional jazz movement and begins with a proper warm-up including stretch, conditioning and isolations, followed by across-the-floor progressions, and center combinations. As students progress through each level the curriculum will become increasingly more complex, intricate, and challenging.

Musical Theater

This class is designed to develop comprehensive musical theatre skills including theatre dance, acting, and character development. This class will be excellent opportunity for students to prepare for school or community theatre auditions as well as developing confidence and stage presence in dancers. ​

Stretch & Conditioning

This class is designed to improve a dancer's range of motion, enhance flexibility and increase their level of core muscle strength. Through a variety of stretches and strengthening exercises, dancers will also increase their awareness of their own body's potential and reach physical goals that they never thought possible. This class not only benefits a dancer's strength and flexibility when applied to their dancing, it also promotes a healthy lifestyle and instills habits dancers can carry with them into their future. Our stretch and conditioning classes build confidence emphasize the power of healthy and strong individuals.​

Tap

This is a fun challenging form of dance that promotes a combination of rhythm, timing, and coordination. Students develop musicality through various center and across-the floor exercises, and routines. We focus on proper techniques in both Broadway tap and hoofing.

Ballet

This carefully designed class follows a structured sequence of training stages intended to increase student’s technical skills, stamina and discipline in accordance with their age and physical development. We work hard to emphasize correct placement in order to prevent injury. Our curriculum embraces traditional ballet principles with a fun and energetic class room. We only secure instructors with extensive experience and who have a passion for teaching and sharing their love of dance. These methods help to provide a healthy and enjoyable learning environment and allow the students to experience a feeling of mastery in each level.

Lyrical

With its roots in the technical aspects of ballet and the stylistic qualities of jazz, lyrical blends the two styles in a unique way that mirrors the emotive qualities of the music through movement. Students will learn to tell a story and express themselves in their performance. A large emphasis will be put on style, texture, and quality of movement while also promoting increased flexibility and control.

Contemporary is one of the most versatile styles of dance that combines a classical foundation of both ballet and modern dance and infuses it with jazz technique. Contemporary is an expressive and creative style that promotes dancers to think outside of the box.

Acro

Description

Acrobatics is a class that teaches dancers tumbling skills that can be applied to their other dance styles. Dancers begin with basic strength training such as handstands and dive rolls, and as they advance, progress to movements requiring more flexibility and strength, and eventually power moves including aerials, handsprings, back tucks, and more!​

Hip Hop

A high-energy dance style primarily performed to hip-hop and pop music which has evolved as part of hip-hop culture. It includes a wide range of styles, primarily; breaking, locking, and popping which were created in the 1970s and made popular by dance crews in the United States. Our hip hop classes emphasize proper technique give the dancers well rounded training taught through innovative choreography.​
